Bodyshop Apprentice Scholarship Winners Northern Ireland

CRASH Services have chosen the first two recipients for their new Bodyshop Apprentice Scholarship scheme, which are worth £10,000 to each during their three year training course.

Lee Curran from Ballycastle and Josh Conlon from Newtownabbey were selected from apprentices who have just started with Riverpark Training and Development in Mallusk and are working in CRASH affiliated repairers.  Lee will be completing his apprenticeship at David McIntyre Autobody & Alloys and Josh with Greenisland Body Repair Centre.

About the Scholarship

The Scholarship was launched by CRASH earlier this year to help attract more apprentices into the Northern Ireland carbody repair industry. The scheme will initially run for three years and a total of six apprentices will be selected.

Tony McKeown, Sales & Marketing Director at CRASH Services, said “We are delighted to be supporting Lee and Josh as they start their training. It was a really tough decision to choose the winners. They really stood out due their passion and ambition to have a career in car body repairs. We look forward to seeing their progress.

Colin Hagan, Managing Director at Riverpark Training said “It is a compliment to the quality of our training that CRASH has chosen us to source apprentices worthy of a £10,000 scholarship. Congratulations to the two winners – the scholarships will certainly make a difference to their futures! Now, as with all our apprentices, we will help them develop their skills to allow them to be self-sufficient quickly, and become confident in their chosen careers within the crash repair industry.”

CRASH is the largest Accident Management Company in Northern Ireland.  If you are involved in a road traffic accident, they take care of everything.  This includes vehicle recovery, collision investigation, organising repairs, providing a replacement vehicle, liaising with insurance companies, offering legal and medical assistance.  There is no charge for their services as all costs are recovered from the insurers involved.
