£46,024 Raised to Support NI Hospice and Children’s Hospice

CRASH Services and JMK Solicitors have raised an impressive £46,024.48 for NI Hospice and Children’s Hospice through a year of fundraising events, challenges and employee donations. The funds will support vital specialist palliative care services for babies, children and adults with life-limiting illnesses, helping the charities continue providing essential care and support to families across Northern Ireland.

CRASH Services and JMK Solicitors have successfully concluded their 2024 charity partnership after raising an incredible £46,024.48 for NI Hospice and Children’s Hospice.

The fundraising total reflects the hard work, dedication and generosity of employees across both organisations, helping to support the vital specialist palliative care services provided by NI Hospice and Children’s Hospice for babies, children and adults living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses throughout Northern Ireland.

Supporting Hospice Care Across Northern Ireland

Throughout 2024, staff from CRASH Services and JMK Solicitors worked together to raise funds for their chosen charity partner through a wide range of fundraising events, challenges and workplace initiatives.

The partnership demonstrates both organisations’ long-standing commitment to supporting local charities and making a meaningful difference within communities across Northern Ireland.

Funds raised will help NI Hospice and Children’s Hospice continue delivering compassionate care and support to patients and families during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Fundraising Activities Throughout 2024

The companies’ dedicated Charity Committee organised a variety of events throughout the year, encouraging staff participation and community support.

Fundraising activities included:

  • Abseiling down the Europa Hotel
  • Breakfast mornings
  • Lunchtime quizzes
  • The Three Peaks Challenge
  • Hillsborough Running Festival
  • Dragon Boat Racing on the River Lagan
  • Employee fundraising initiatives
  • Monthly payroll giving donations

Staff also committed to regular charitable contributions through monthly salary donations, helping to boost the final fundraising total.

Supporting Vital Palliative Care Services

Jonathan McKeown, CEO of CRASH Services and Chairman of JMK Solicitors, praised the efforts of both teams and highlighted the importance of supporting hospice services:

“Each year, our staff nominate a charity that is close to their hearts. This year our team felt it was important to concentrate our efforts on raising funds to support the crucial palliative care services of NI Hospice & Children’s Hospice.

Over the past year, the collaborative efforts of JMK and CRASH personnel have raised over £46,000 through dedicated fundraising, participation in a wide range of events as well as donations from their salaries. We hope this amount will make an impact to the important work the Hospice carries out in our communities.”
