Lurgan Park Fun Run 2019
Lurgan Park Fun Run 2019 in aid of Southern Area Hospice was launched by Event Organisers David Wilson and Tony McKeown from CRASH Services, Deirdre Breen, Lurgan SAHS Fundraising Group and Louise Doone and Joleen McKee from Intersport Mckeever Sports
CRASH Services will once again be the title sponsor of the annual Lurgan Park Fun Run (5k & 10K) in aid of the Southern Area Hospice, which will be staged for the 6th year on Sunday 3rd March 2019 at 11am. The event has now raised in excess of £35,000 and last year attracted over 600 participants.
Tony McKeown of CRASH Services, commented;
“CRASH are delighted to be the main sponsors for the sixth year in a row. We are business with strong links to the Lurgan area and the Hospice. Our staff look forward to taking part and helping out on the day.
We are very happy to say that all event costs and supplies are covered, which means 100% of runner donations goes to the Hospice. This year’s entry is £12 per adult and £5 per under 16s (plus online booking fee). The first 500 registered participants get a running number, bespoke medal, Hilly running socks and goody bag. Southern Area Hospice provides their service across the entire Southern Health Board area, including Lurgan, Newry & Mourne, Craigavon, Banbridge, Portadown, Armagh and Dungannon. With an annual fundraising target of over £2 million, SAHS need to raise over £250 every single hour to help people affected by terminal illness in Southern Board Area.
