Having joined the CRASH Services team in 2015, Nial has recently been promoted to Software Development Team Leader, reflecting both his technical expertise and his leadership within the organisation. With over 20 years of professional experience in full stack .NET development, he brings a wealth of knowledge gained from working with large design agencies and a global manufacturing company, where he played a pivotal role in designing and maintaining content-managed solutions.
In his new role as Team Leader, Nial is responsible for guiding and mentoring developers, driving best practices in software engineering, and overseeing the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. He combines strong technical capability with strategic oversight, ensuring projects align with business objectives while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Nial has demonstrated particular versatility through his work in mobile application development for both Android and iOS platforms, delivering innovative solutions that enhance user experience and streamline business processes. His recent focus on in-house software development has positioned him at the forefront of advancing the company’s IT systems, where he now plays a key role in shaping technical direction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Passionate about professional growth and team development, Nial actively champions continuous learning, encouraging the adoption of emerging technologies and modern development practices. Outside of work, Nial coaches underage Gaelic and soccer teams. He enjoys hiking in the Mournes and spending time with family and friends.
